My middle ages essay
Medieval essay
Everyday life in the medieval empire was not completely different from modern Australia. Their cloths are completely different, their religion is like and unlike us and laws are almost similar but in some ways different.
Cloths are completely different in the middle ages then in the modern era. The cloths are a lot more basic. Robes are commonly worn around in the Middle Ages as going out, working and around home clothes. This is a major difference as underneath is usually nothing, as they do not wear any under wear. Footwear has a wooden soul, as our shoes are rubber. Peasants make their own cloths in the middle-ages as we don’t, even the poor people rarely make their own cloths. Cloths are common to be very dirty because they rarely wash their cloths, as in Australia we wash our cloths every one or two days. In these ways, cloths are completely different then modern Australia.
Unlike clothes, Religion in medieval Rome is in many ways like and in some ways unlike modern Australia. Like Australia, the majority of Rome in the middle ages are Christians or Catholics. However, unlike us they did not like other religion around them because they believed that they would not go to heaven if they were around other cultures. Also different from modern Australia is that the church has a lot of power, they have the power to change what people think easily. The monks run the schools in the middle ages but teachers run ours. However, we are also different from them because they do not accept different religions. Religion in the medieval times aren’t completely different then Australia, we both have Christians, both have a church but nowadays the church has a lot less power and we use teachers not monks to run our schools.
Laws in the middle ages was in many ways similar to the laws in Australia and in other ways not. For one thing, Australians are free to attack the church but the middle-aged people are kicked out of church or executed them if they committed heretic them from the church or executing them. One of the most common crimes in the middle ages is being blamed a witch, if you were a suspected witch you would get water dunked in a chair if you died you aren’t a witch and you would live if you were. Nowadays we do not believe in witches and we do not have any law that has the punishment of execution. Some of the other punishments are a lot worse the punishments we use today; they use cages to starve them to death, head crushers and thumb crushers. We use jail terms and fines. The thing that is the opposite of modern Australia is the middle ages rule was guilty in until proven innocent, we are innocent in till proven guilty. The laws and punishments used in the Middle Ages are not very different from modern Australia, we both have punishments and laws but ours are a lot weaker. A lot of their laws are based around the church and ours aren’t
The middle ages are not completely different then modern Australia. The cloths medieval people wear are completely different from ours are today. However, their religion, laws and punishments are in some ways similar but in other ways different. It is obvious that medieval times were not completely different then modern Australia.

wet, cold and windy
Today was the wettest day I’ve ever seen. Rouds were flooded, rouds were closed, koriot bus was late couse of the rain. Our dams are almost joined and I’ve heard storys from my friends of what happened at their houses. One said that he needed gumboots just to get out the door. The wind as a problem too, when mum was coming home she was forced to park the car and walk the rest of the way home (luckily it wasn’t that far). The cold wasn’t that bad, we were more worryeid about the rain. The good thing was that the farmers needed the rain.
Moving house
These school holidays my family and I moved house. We have got a VERY small house (compared to my last one) But about 20 times the amount of land. It is is going to be a lot better because we are going to have cows and it has a lot more room for me to ride my motor bike. And to ride my horse.

On the weekend the hawkesdale colts played the end of the 3 day grand final. We won but I got out on a good ball first ball of the day. We had already won the first innings and whn they went out to bat they only got 21 runs higher than ours. Matt and tim won the game for us with only one wicket falling.
It was a great game and hopefully we get there next year as well.

My made up country’s (kirkland) national anthem.
Kirkland is our old and cherished home.
Were we hold our hearts and hands,
To our future and our past,
We stay together for ever.
As stride over the bare planes to the long and endless forests,
We retire to our old past of shooting mouse and cutting random trees.
After all we are kirlanders.
La la la la la la la la la la la
After all the work to get mouse staffed we lie on the soft oily soil,
Looking over our badly damaged trees we eat our native treacle.
La la la la la la la la la la la
Woo shoo loo kilin soo too croo.
Woo laa alooo eroo froo too,
Cal os mal poo roo laa.
Wee stoo croo woo tal,
Qoo O soo are ill nee.
Quila wee shoot an eaaaaat,
Oooo we suc eoo boo.
Laa we love kilin!
(the last verse is kirkland’s native language)
My letter a person in china.
To dear china person,
My name is Cody. I like to ride my motorbike, play computer and playing cricket or football (Australian rules).
I am in year seven at Hawkesdale p-12 College. My favourite classes are PE and English. Each morning and afternoon I have to go on a bus to and away school. It takes around 40 minutes.
Before I leave school I want to go to China and Tasmania both on school trips. I live in Kirkstall about twenty minutes from Warrnambool which we go to shop.
Every year we get to go on a camp. This year we went to Roses Gap which is only
Two hours from school.
In china do you have large shopping centres?
On Saturday is it really busy?
What is your favourite sport?
Cody
This is my speech on: You should wear school uniform to school.
Do you think students should be wearing casual or school uniforms to school? Imagine what it looks like when a boy is walking around the school with baggy, ripped pants hanging down below their butt. Anyway, more people will be late for school from choosing or not having the clothes they want.
School students should have to wear a school uniform to school.
Students present a good image in a school uniform. Schools always look neat and tidy so it is necessary that the students match. The colour of the uniform and the badge represents the school in sporting events, excursions and when people come to the school.
There is less compition between students when they have to wear the same clothes. Bullying in a nightmare to anyone at school and it’ll only make it worse when someone is wearing different clothes to everyone else at school. They might be peer pressured into wearing something they feel uncomfortable in.
It prepares students for the future; the future is a big part to everyone’s life. If we learn to stay with in the dress code we would benefit. You’ll learn what to wear to interviews, work, meetings, etc.
It saves your parents from spending money on clothes that they should use on fun
activities. Imagine one Christmas and you get cheap stuff all because of all the money spent on stupid cloths to look good. Casual clothes are usually more expensive than school clothes if you don’t buy chuck out ones. School clothes are affordable, and easier to get hand downs from friends or family.
It’s clear that students should wear school cloths. They are cheaper, neater, more formal and better for us. Anyway, you can change to whatever you want after school!
